Much of Rochdale's housing is stone or brick terrace and pre-war semi, and that shapes the work we do here. Stone terraces need repointing in the right lime-based mix rather than hard cement, slate roofs need matching slates and proper leadwork, and older houses often need a full rewire and replumb before they are worth decorating.
