Hard landscaping

A good patio or drive is mostly what you cannot see: the excavation, the sub-base, the drainage and the falls. Get those wrong and slabs rock, block paving sinks and water runs towards the house. We build the base properly first, then lay the finish you have chosen.

• Patios in porcelain, natural stone or concrete flags, laid on a full mortar bed with correct falls and drainage.
• Driveways in block paving, resin-bound gravel or tarmac, with permeable options and proper edging.
• Garden walls, steps and retaining walls in brick, stone or rendered blockwork.
• Fencing and gates — close-board, panel and composite.
• Decking in timber or composite, with a properly supported and ventilated frame.
• Drainage — channel drains, soakaways and land drains where gardens hold water.

Soft landscaping

Turfing, planting beds, raised beds, sleepers and artificial grass where it suits, all finished tidily with the levels right and the edges clean.

Gardens after an extension

Many of our landscaping jobs follow an extension or a refurbishment: the garden has been a building site for weeks and needs putting back better than it was. Having the same team design and finish the outside means the patio meets the bi-fold threshold at the right level, the drainage is connected properly and there is no gap between one contractor finishing and another starting.
